This past weekend at the start of Veterans Week, I was pleased to have been invited to the Valour & Victory ceremony remembering and honouring Indigenous Veterans. This week, we also commemorate the sixth anniversary of the unveiling of Landscape of Nations: The Six Nations & Native Allies’ Commemorative Memorial at Queenston Heights.

As Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, it was a privilege to have attended this memorable ceremony and to have had the honour to place a wreath alongside local dignitaries and veterans.

Please remember to thank veterans, not just this week, but always, for keeping our country safe.
